The odontoma is the most common dental tumor. Dental tissues grow uncontrollably in the gingiva of the maxilla bone. When fully developed, the odontoma consists of enamel, dentin and pulp of a variable quantity. This type of tumor most frequently affects young patients (between 14 and 20 years) and is fairly common.
This is very rare however, is to find as much tooth structure formed in a single bag. According to the director, less than forty teeth had been removed in the previous case of odontoma listed.
